Tilt & Turn Windows

Tilt & Turn windows are manufactured at our joinery in Co. Tipperary specifically to suit the Irish climate. They are custom made to size, style and colour on a project to project base. Tilt & Turn windows combine Functionality with Security. This window system opens inwardly in two ways. These windows “turn” or swing completely inwards allowing for easy cleaning. They also tilt at the top to provide good ventilation without leaving the window fully open. All functions are one-handed, one move operated. It's smooth, it's easy and it's safe. The multi-point locking mechanism also keeps the sash/frame from twisting or bending.

Your Tilt & Turn windows and doors will therefore be kept straight and functional for many years to come. Unlike traditional windows, the turn & tilt hardware allows the window to open completely for a clear exit in an emergency and to ease cleaning.

Tilt & Turn windows have 3 positions

• Closed: The sash is now tightly locked into the frame.
• Tilt: The sash is tilted inwards on top for draft free ventilation. With the window open in this way your home is still secured against intruders and they can even be opened up to 150 mm inwards in the rain.
• Turn: The window can be turned completely open for easy cleaning of both sides of the glass and emergency access.

Wood and colour finishes are available with the window arriving on site fully finished and ready to fit. The hardware is all pre fitted also and available in gold, silver or black. Various glazing options are available, double or triple glazing, bevelled and stained glass designs, tint and screen prints.

Primary Uses

Used in Larger windows because of their stronger hinges, Tilt and Turn are a strong sturdy window.

These windows are ideal for fire escapes.

• Glazing: These windows can be manufactured in both double and triple glazing offering an A rated window with both options due to the Carey Glass Elite Diamont Double glazing option and the Carey Glass Elite SE Triple Glazing option.
